Modern hotel, room was really clean and tidy, with functional layout - my only complaint is the bed is awful! I totally understand that all hotels push two beds together to make a double, but in this hotel room, there was a huge dip in the middle of the bed that you honestly could not escape from if the bed has been good quality this place would be 10/10 but based on my experience and other reviews mentioning the beds, I don't think I'll stay here again.
Fantastic hotel. Great design nice people. The food at 3 miles was amazing The free EV charger was the cherry on top saving us money ans time so we can spend more time in Newcastle
Really friendly hotel, everyone of the staff are so friendly and full of information ℹ the rooms are spotless and serviced every morning. Tea and coffee making Inthe room. Reception will gladly give you more tea, coffee and milk if you need more. We had breakfast every morning it was well worth having with lots of choice from freshly cooked or full English and continental. They have a well stocked bar and food.
My elderly mum has stayed here a number of times, she feels comfortable and safe on her own. The staff are fantastic, welcoming and recognise her by name. Rooms clean and comfortable and very quiet. Food you have a choice of the restaurant or pizzeria. The pub is popular but no noise affects the hotel. Free car parking and access to public transport. Highly recommended
Visited for over a week and had no problems at all. The hotel is modern, quiet, and convient to the airport and the metro. Check in was a breeze, though I had a little difficulty finding the registration desk initially from the outside, and the staff is fantastic. The food at dining establishments attached to the hotel was delicious. I will definitely book here on my next visit.
Genuinly one of the nicest stays I've had in a while. The hotel was beautifully decorated. Room was spotless, ola the cleaner was clearly amaizng. The staff were so lovely and the pub downstairs was nice and cheap all in all really lovely stay
This is becoming my second home . Hotel rooms are modern, stylish and comfortable. Staff are all really lovely and accommodating. The bar and restaurant are equally good and I was glad to see the bar drinks buzzer has made a return this week. Highly recommend anyone looking for a hotel that's close to local amenities on the high street and only 3 miles from the city centre, that's clean and stylish with friendly staff. I look forward to staying there again next month.
Had a lovely stay at The Great North Hotel in Newcastle. Stayed overnight as a group of 6 and we were put next to each other. The rooms were spotless and modern. They put balloons, a banner and cupcakes in the room for my arrival as I was celebrating my 40th birthday. We had the deluxe double room, the bed was huge and very comfortable. They had tea and coffee making facilities, bottles of water, an iron and ironing board and a hairdryer. The restaurants were good and clean. My husband is gluten free so was able to have food brought to him separately to the buffet. We would definitely recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again the next time we visit Newcastle!
